SD113A Emergency Preparedness
Communicating Clearly. Prioritizing Safety.
SD113A is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. All of our buildings will follow our emergency and crisis response plans if needed. Parents of SD113A students can expect timely, targeted, directed, and meaningful communication from the school district.
When facing a crisis situation, SD113A will always:
- Respond to the crisis and impacted students and staff first
- Gather all relevant information and include first responders to effectively respond
- Communicate information to the appropriate parties in a timely manner using appropriate channels
- Provide follow up communication as appropriate including reminders of protocols
Having a strong connection between the school district and families is an important part of school safety and we encourage you to report any needs directly to the district.
