Message from the Principal

Welcome to Central School! My name is Shirley Kleehammer and I am the Principal of Central School. I am so excited to begin this 22-23 school year in a brand new school. Although the building has been there for many years and has recently undergone a massive renovation, it is truly a new school in body and spirit. Our school educates approximately 540 fourth and fifth grade students. Our goal is to make sure each student feels safe, happy and comfortable at school while receiving an excellent education.

Our theme for this school year is Believe in Yourself. As a staff, we will strive to ensure that all students feel comfortable and confident to take a chance or risk whether that means to answer a question in class or reach out to make a new friend. 

A little bit about me...I have been an administrator in Lemont 113A for 11 years as the Assistant Principal at Old Quarry Middle School. I currently live in Naperville with my husband, Andy, and we have 7 beautiful grandchildren that I love to spend time with.
