Good afternoon,
This year over winter break, Oakwood staff will be hosting a Hot Chocolate Reading challenge. Coming home on Thursday will be the mug of hot chocolate log sheet and a page of marshmallows with different reading challenges on it.
Over break we are challenging Oakwood students and staff to read for at least 15 minutes, 10 different times. Your child can pick one of the marshmallow challenges that appeal to them or there are blank marshmallows if they want to write in their own marshmallow challenge idea. After reading for 15 mins, students can cut out the marshmallow that they choose and glue it onto their mug of hot chocolate. When you return from break, all students who have completed the challenge will receive a prize. Please feel free to have your child decorate their mug of hot chocolate as well.
